Read, Read, Read!!!

NSMS (Nate Saint Memorial School) had a Read-A-Thon with the goal to read 150,000 pages. The students read with vigor and over a period of about 2-3 months they reached their goal. David checked out chapter book after chapter book from the library to rack up pages for the class. Overall, David read an astounding number of pages! There was some added incentive for the students as the teacher's semi-volunteered to be pied in the face when the goal was met.

I felt so proud of David and all the students in the class for their perseverance and hard work. It is my hope that this experience has given them a higher appreciation for reading. I have always loved losing myself in a great book. Becoming a different character and having amazing adventures through words on a page. The greatest stories of love, faithfulness, and grace spring to life from the Bible.

"As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield
for all who take refuge in him." Psalm 18:30
I admit that I have read some chapters and wondered where the application lied. But I have also been so impacted by the words in the Bible that my life was never the same. I urge you to read His word, search for His promises, and believe it as truth.
