For my birthday I had a combined birthday party with Eileen and a bon-voyage for Amy. It was a great excuse to get the whole missionary community together for a party. Eileen's parents were visiting from the states so we were even able to eat some REAL s'mores with marshmallows and HERSHEY chocolate...mmmm...
our theme was all about "B" we had BBQ(or sloppy joes), Bonfire, Birthday, Bon-voyage, Balloons, etc... we even had some "bachelors"! The Hardin family set us up for "The Dating Game" where three people were hidden behind a sheet, and we were each given three pre-written questions to which each Bachelor had a thought out answer. It was quite humorous, especially when we chose "our" bachelor, and it turned out to be the Hardin's kids, Evan, Cameron, and their pet turtle! Phew! I have to admit I was a bit relieved! It was a great time of fellowship and just hanging out. Isn't it great that God gives us laughter and joy each day? What an amazing God we serve! We sang some worship songs around the bonfire, which was a sweet time of worship and praise. I am overwhelmed by God's unsurpassing love for me!
