Food, Glorious Food

It is no secret that my cooking skills leave much to be desired. While I am confident in my baking abilities, one can hardly live off of cookies and brownies! Last weekend after a ladies retreat in Quito full of tasty meals, I was resigning myself to a week of mediocre meals when God intervened!
What a blessing I was in store for! One night was a birthday dinner for a women who works in the x-ray. The next night I was invited to a different missionaries home for dinner (sometimes it pays to be a single missionary down here). Plus, Friday night was yet another delicious meal for the group of leaders for Spotlight (Spotlight is a program on the radio to learn english and offers a non-threatening environment to share the Gospel through the programs topics....)
On Saturday my friends Pamela and Diana came over for help with english and meanwhile they taught me how to make "espomilla" a kind of light, whipped cream made out of a fruit called guayaba.

Thank you Lord for giving so abundantly and graciously! Someone also offered a coffee maker to me :) I've been overwhelmed by all the little things that God has done lately that say, "Hey I love you...I want you to feel my blessing."
