That's right, NSMS is practicing for the Shell Days parade. We will be doing a little country style dancing down the streets. I've been put in charge of teaching the 3 part dance to the 2nd and 3rd graders. It has been interesting thus far. Especially since I am not the most coordinated person...but I'm learning.

On a completely random thought process here, the "step-together-step" makes me kind of think about my relationship with God. Hang in with me on this one...
So many times I take a STEP on my own and almost always that does not turn out too great. And then our awesome God comes and soon I find myself walking TOGETHER with Him. And how beautiful that time is, but out of my human nature I start to think that I can do it on my own, that I can handle situations and decisions on my own without Him, so off I go and STEP off by myself.
Tonight, I was singing a song by Third Day that says "Please take from me my life, when I don't have the strength to give it away to You" and how true those words ring true to me. So many times I do not have the strength nor the desire to give my life away to Jesus, to surrender my all to Him but I can only humbly ask that He would take it away from me when I am unable to surrender it on my own. I want to STEP with God, TOGETHER, and continue to take my next STEP and my next step with Him. How foolish we are to try to do it on our own! So, come on and STEP TOGETHER with God, let Him guide your path.
