I didn't realize how much I missed not being able to see snow for two years until I went on a trip to the mountain, Chimborazo and we walked through snow. As always, it was an adventure getting to our destination. From flat tires, getting stuck in the mud, and losing our driver we never had a dull moment! It was a great time of companionship and fellowship as we overcame each obstacle.
The snow-capped mountain was absolutley beautiful and just confirms the majesty of the Lord. As someone commented, God made all of this beauty just for us, that we might find delight in it. It reminds us to not only admire the nature and beauty that surrounds us but to praise the Creator. How can we deny the hand of the Master in creation when His works are everywhere declaring His glory?
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.
For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Psalm 96:1-6
