X-rays, Pizza, and the Resurrection

What? x-rays you may ask? Don't worry I haven't done anything silly like break any bones (except for my toe...but that was in the past...and let's hope not in the future!). I've been helping DeNise, the x-ray technician out in the mission hospital in Shell. Still, you may question, Rachel...in a hospital? Is this wise? Is she or is she not the same Rachel who fainted when getting a blood sample taken? Indeed. But all that DeNise needed of me was to help organize x-ray files and this is something I can handle! God has been teaching me the importance of my attitude and how everything I do, should be done unto the Lord. Whether it is leading one week for our Bible study, making chocolate chip cookies, or organizing x-ray files everything I do should be for the glory of God.
Before my break for Easter in teaching, I had the students who could make it come to "my" house and we made pizza together. They had been asking me to do this with them for quite some time. So I thought that it would be the perfect way to end before our break. While the pizzas cooked in the oven, I put in a video clip that portrayed the crucifixation and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church I attend had a Good Friday service and then a sunrise service Easter Sunday. Taking a look at that Christ spoke while on the cross brought some new meaning and insight for me. It is overwhelming...the love of God. The sacrifice. The gift that He gives to each one of us. I pray that this Easter season you celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and find joy in His victory over death and over sin.
John 19:28-30
"After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished , that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had recieved the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."
John 20:31
"but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."
