Gingerbread Houses

In honor of my friend Pato's birthday, we had a little get together to make gingerbread houses (something that Ecuadorians do not usually do) so it was a little culture lesson too! Pictured, is Susannah, Ivan, Pato, Beth, Eileen, and myself. This the same group that meets every Wednesday night at 7:00 to spend some time praising God, and growing in the word of the Lord. It's been fun to grow together as a group over these last couple months. We translate back and forth between the english and spanish, which is challenging but definately worth it. We've been using the Nooma videos by Rob Bell, which come with Spanish subtitles and discussion questions to go over afterwards. The topics vary but have been very good! (I recommend!). Pray that we continue to grow in the Lord and see new ways that we can minister through these friendships and the opportunities that present themselves!
