Washington D.C.

I took a day trip with my sister into Washington, D.C. It was a beautiful day with the perfect weather to walk around and enjoy the sights! Seeing the monuments and exploring several museums, made me very thankful for the kind of country that I'm a citizen of. Remembering the many men and women who gave their lives to protect the freedom of our country was humbling. It made me stop and reflect on what our country has been through and where it is today. I am reminded to continually lift up its leaders and the issues that they are faced with.

"The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live." 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (The Message)
