Months ago, I began writing this post, with the word "abundance" playing on repeat in my head.  We were just overcome by a series of blessings in our lives and in awe of God's sweetness towards us to consider every request and prayer we uttered.  You might recall that back in June we were invited along to the Galapagos Islands with a group from the states which just blew our minds to be in such a beautiful location with equally beautiful people.  After such a "high" you would think it would be hard for life to get much better.  But, upon returning to Shell, we had a skype call with supporters from the states, who completely surprised us with news that they had raised money for us to purchase a vehicle.  We were speechless.  Due to the craziness of camp season we put off our search for a car and per usual our life continued at a rapid rate that it wasn't until October that we really took time to begin looking for the right vehicle.  It was quite an experience for us and we learned some lessons along the way, that's for sure!
After several dead-ends and pursuits that came to nothing we settled on a Kia Sportage Activa.  As we spent a day with the seller, completing paperwork and finalizing the sale, both Ivan and I felt more and more peace along the way.  At one point we were waiting at the notary in a conference type room with the seller and his adult son, and Ivan had the opportunity to share the vision of YL.  The seller and his son were genuinely interested and turns out have family who live near our newest ministry site in Cayambe.  He asked about how he could get his children involved and offered us his land in the countryside, on the outskirts of Quito, if we ever wanted to do a small camping trip or activity with the teens.  Once all the papers had been signed, we were the new, proud owners of our very own car!  We sat inside the car and just gave thanks for God's provision, blessing the family who sold it to us, and asking that we would be good stewards of what we've been given.
We've gotten good use out of our car so far, already taking several trips back and forth from the airport/Quito and Ivan even went on a guy's fishing trip.  What a difference it makes!  We are so grateful to those who donated and prayed!  It was especially nice to be able to host guests from the states and not have to take the bus everywhere.
Loaded up the car with kids after club!
Psalm 31:19
"How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you."

Just some pictures I've taken recently...
