It's Been Awhile...

To those few people out there who actually still read my blog or would like to read my blog if I would update it once in awhile...Today is your lucky day!
  • May: Graduated from Germanna Community College with an Associates in Liberal Arts & Science.
  • June 4-23: Visit to Ecuador! :) Attended an Ecuadorian friend's wedding, visited my Aunt and her family, went to the beach, saw lots of people whom I dearly miss when I'm stateside, ate a years worth of rice and potatoes...
  • June 24: Started looking at flights for future visit to Ecuador...I couldn't help myself!
  • July: Took my first solo road trip up to PA to see friends. Besides a flat tire, all went well. I attended a new church that I had heard good things about and they just happened to have un upcoming short mission trip to Ecuador! So, after the service I ended up talking to one of the guys who's leaving with the team. . I could talk about Ecuador all day long and never grow tired! It was just neat to see how God orchestrated that meeting. I just felt so blessed!
Well, I had all these grandiose plans for my summer of things to do when I wasn't working: read a bunch of books, exercise, learn how to cook (or at least try some of the recipes in my cookbooks), get in touch with my artistic side with some painting or drawing which I really enjoy, study up on my spanish grammar. And as you may have guessed, I've done absolutely nothing! Oh well. In August I'll be once again going to a new place, Bridgewater College, where I'm pursuing certification as an elementary school teacher with an endorsement in ESL (English as a Second Language). I'm excited about it but at the same time its hard knowing that after two years I will be moving on to another place and leaving everything I experience at BC behind. I know that God is faithful and will be with me wherever I am, and that's enough for me.
"Fear not, for I am with you" Isaiah 43:5
